A Staffordshire Pottery Red & White Spaniel Dog with separately moulded leg. The glazed dog has a separately moulded leg and is decorated with patches of red overglaze colour. The eyes are painted in black; the mouth and the muzzle are painted in black and red overglaze enamel. The padlock and collar are decorated with best gold. Date of production is circa 1860 (ref 1&2).
· Dimensions: 16cm (6”) tall, 14cm (5 ½”) wide and 7cm (3”) deep. · Weight: ~ 500g. Total packaged weight is ~ 1 1/4 kg. · Overall Condition: Excellent to Good. · Repair/Restoration/Conservation: None. · Chips/Dents: None. · Cracks: None. · Other notes: This mould is very common in a green lustre colour, the red decoration and use of best gold on this mould is scarcely seen.
